"They are certainly making quite a few improvements to their rooms. Huge TV, the shower is really nice. We did end up staying there before they had installed anywhere to hang our wet coats, but oh well, we made do. Our biggest disappointment was that we didn't get to use the pool because they were waiting on an inspection. But that's beyond their control. Look forward to May 2026. That's when they figure that all the upgrades will be done. This is the second time we have stayed at Painter's lodge, and there is a reason. The rooms are simple (what we have gotten anyway), and the location is lovely with spectacular views. The staff is great and very gracious. The pub food is really good. The main building has nice seating areas to sit by the fire, or to play games. It's very welcoming."

"Absolutely beautiful accommodations. Amazing beach front view. Our weather was constant rain but we were lulled to sleep by the storms raging outside. The hot tub was so nice after a day of exploring and the fireplace was perfect to cozy up in front of. Our favorite feature of the place was the heated bathroom floors. So nice on a cold winter day. I can’t wait to come again during the summer months. "
